Dr. Maka khartishvili is an Academic Doctor of Engineering Sciences since 2008.

In 2001-2005 Dr. Khartishvili was a teacher at the Georgian Technical University (GTU).

In 2007-2009 she was a manager of Spanish - British school-college "AIA-GESS".

In 2007-2008  Dr. Khatishvili was an acting Director of Public School № 119.

Since 2009 Dr. Khartihvili is working as an assistant-professor at the Georgian Technical University, Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems.

Besides, since 2009 Dr. Khartihvili is an assistant of the Deputy Rector at GTU.

Dr. Maka Khartishvili is an associated member of Georgian National Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Since 2013 Dr. Khartishvili is a manager of "Ancient Building Technology Research and Development" center at GTU.

The main fields of her research and development activities are: Education, Technology, Management Sciences, Project Management.

Dr. Khartishvili has published up to 60 scientific articles, 2 monographs and 1 book. She is actively participating in the national and international conferences and symposiums as an organizer and presenter.
